Extended Day Enrichment Program - EDEP
The EDEP offers fee-based after school programs at 40 elementary schools in Volusia County. Program hours are immediately after school ends until 5:45 p.m.
The EDEP provides a safe environment for elementary school students to develop friendships and explore new hobbies and interests. More than 3,500 students participate in offerings such as homework monitoring, music, arts & crafts, computer skills, recreational activities and field trips. Check out information on before, after school and summer programs.
The link below has more information related to this program.
Each program also uses after school literacy programs, such as Flocabulary, iReady and Prodigy to help build students' comprehension and vocabulary development. The programs begin at the end of each school day and close at 5:45 p.m. Some sites have morning programs, too. Contact the Site Facilitator, Katherine Allen, for more information.
At George Marks Elementary, EDEP adheres to the following Volusia County Schools Extended Day mission statement:
"Volusia County Schools Extended Day Enrichment Program will enrich the educational, emotional and physical well-being of students in a well supervised, quality program."
Additionally, GME EDEP is now serving supper. Supper is served Monday through Friday at 3:15pm.
